Another Adventure in Nepal is Rafting which is usually raft in Trisuli River Gorkha Nepal. IT was Thrilled adventure in River. To be honest I don’t know how to swim till now but I bravely did Rafting too.
Some Information about Rafting in Trisuli River:
Trisuli River Orignates from the Langtang Himal. Conveniently running from just outside Kathmandu towards Chitwan and Pokhara, the Trisuli is one of Nepal’s most popular rivers, providing an exhilarating and refreshing alternative. We can enjoy scenic valleys, terraced rice fields, and impressive exciting and fun, but not overly challenging whitewater.

With some delay We managed to leave Kathmandu Thankot around 3.30 PM. It was amazing feelings to head out for rafting in with a group of friends.

It was so much fun to travel in group. Altogether there were 16 friends with lot of excitement and joy for rafting.This was the first time of everyone to do rafting in trisuli. We reached at evening at the resort. We had good dinner. After dinner we all enjoyed in swimming pool. I don’t know how to swim but I tried with life jacket. It was so much fun. I wish I could Learn how to swim soon. After swimming we had camp fire and began to sang together with guitars. To sing together is always best moment for everyone.
Next day we go ready for Rafting. We took public bus to reach at rafting starting point. The guide share some information about Rafting and surviving tips , how to , what not to do, etc for 25 minutes.
If you are going to rafting I personally Suggest you the following :
- While leaving from home make sure to take Half pant , half t-shirt , slipper or non- water damage shoes , extra under wear , Towel , Sun block cream, extra inner vest and warm cloths after rafting. You will get fully wet that’s why you need all of these.
- Choose the safety helmet , life jacket , swimming paddle before going to boat. Don’t Ignore the information shared by boat guide. Learn how to lock the Leg in boat , Where to sit , Find rope , Don’t keep mobile and electronics in pocket , give it to guide and he will keep in safe place. You can ask for few games while boating and he will make more fun.
- The rafting will be for 3 hours and you will loss more energy so have some strong diet like eggs , milk , coffee etc. before leaving for rafting.
3 Hours of Rafting is not easy for those people who are doing for the first time. You have to build lot of courage and make your heart strong. There are lot of big bouncy waves , hefty holes and tricky chutes you face in river. Big waves are given the name rapids , monsoon , ladies delight , upset , Electric rapid, Tea pot, tiger cat , surprise at last. Don’t worry guide you pre-inform you about these waves and how difficult it is to boat. You have to follow his order to be safe. I suggest you not to worry if you get out of the boat there will be person to help you and the big part is life jacket is with you.
